Front page inspired this.The US market is way more expensive than the UK market. Here is a good example. This Mini Cooper S is $500 less than what i payed for, but 4,000 less than the average Cooper in the United States

The UK market is weird, due to RHD and other factors. You should rather use continental Europe as a comparison.

A ‘63 1/2 fastback Galaxie went for 10,000 pounds on Gumtree, and a ‘66 wagon in rougher shape than my car went for nearly 9,000, so my sedan is likely worth at least 8. Which is far, far more than it’s worth here.

My Rover is obviously worth much less over there. My Benz would likely be as well. The Lincoln and the Ranchero, I couldn’t begin to guess.

My 997.2 C4GTS is worth somewhere north of $170 k in the EU.

Ye’, the thing came about from an article on Jalopnik that a very similar car (2002 Lexus IS300 Sportcross ) went for £500 while he paid $ 10,250 in the U.S.

This is about the closest I could find. Lots of 2nd gens but only one 3rd gen and it’s a diesel!

My VW T4 Transporter Dual Cab 2.5 TDi Syncro  is 17 years old and getting quite rare in the UK. It'd probably get around 6000 to 8000 quid which means it'd be worth about the same as what it's worth here.
